destination weddings
BG Events continues to keep doing international weddings and we are proud to have such a wide guest range..
This time our sweet couple was from Switzerland and their wedding took place at the Esma Sultan Mansion.
As you may know, Esma Sultan Mansion is a historical mansion located at the Bosphorus. It was originally built around 1780s for Esma Sultan, the daughter of Sultan Abdulhamit. It suffered a fire in 1975 and was renovated in 2001. Today Esma Sultan Mansion is a great example of a historical building with modern design.
Since the couple had chosen to get married at a venue with a history, they wanted to use a bit of Ottoman details in their wedding as well.
So we created a modern ottoman wedding theme for them while being loyal to our “simple is elegant” concept.
The wedding turned out to be a reflection of sophisticated elegancy..
O LA LA BELLA SOMBRA
All roads lead us to Bodrum...
Bodrum is our favorite summer wedding city and we have fun working there.
The concept of our event was chill out – a party full of good food and good mood..
We knew that a new hip hotel was about to open in Bodrum, so we had booked it for our party months in advance. Bella Sombra was prettier than we expected, one can feel the originality from the moment they enter the building. As BG Events, we decided to tune in with the energy of the hotel and used as many colours and candles as possible..
Everything went flawless and when Iskender Paydas and his band took stage, all 500 guests were on the dance floor enjoying themselves.
Summer Rain
Our couple is from NYC, their families and guests arrived from all around the world.
We had started working on this wedding months before the date, it was a summer time wedding and was planned to be outside. Unfortunately, a mad rain storm caught the city by surprise, so we had to move everything inside. We were prepared for any weather condition, therefore did not have any problems. But that was a day when perfect planning and professionalism was effectively used.
We love organizing destination weddings, meeting new people, learning about new tastes and new cultures.
This wedding theme was olive tree. Olive branch is a symbol for peace and have been used at weddings for centuries. While there are awful terrorism attacks around the world, we think this couple’s theme selection becomes more meaningful.
The wedding took place at the Adile Sultan Palace (www. adilesultan.org ), we surrounded the palace with hundreds of olive branches.
We enjoyed working on this wedding, we hope it shows from the photos.
Less is More
One more time we have witnessed that real beauty comes from simplicity.
BG Events organized the wedding of a very sweet couple, Berrak and Cem. The decoration was like a reflection of the pure beauty of the bride, it was tasteful and elegant.
The wedding party took place at the La Petit Maison Restaurant Nisantasi. It was an amazing party with delicious food, great music and gorgeous people.
The wedding’s key theme was the Calla Lilly flower, and we have surrounded LPM with thousands of cala lillies.
We had fun organizing it, we hope you enjoy looking at the photos..
TOP SECRET WEDDING
Yes . ... yes ... Top Secret !
We know you are curious … Can’t wait to learn whats going on…
After 2 years, we think it is ok to share a few details
Do you know, how many distinguished guests from the European royal family visited Istanbul for a wedding? We can only tell you that many had attended and all were fascinated by the beauty of this amazing city.
Istanbul hosted an important Royal Wedding and BG Events, partnered with two of the best companies in Britain- Admirable Crichton and Firecracker Works, organised it. Flower designs were created by the amazing Woodbrown London. It was an absolute pleasure working with everyone included, we became good friends and we look forward to new projects together.
The wedding was a 3 day event, the events took place at Esma Sultan Mansion and Ciragan Palace.
Please Enjoy….
Marie Antoinette was at the Four Seasons Bosphorus
She had a dream, we made it real..
This is how we work :)
Our precious bride wanted us to take a visit to mid 18th century, We did and decided to work around Marie Antoinette who is one of the most fascinating figures of that century.
The wedding was at the Four Seasons Bosphorus Hotel.
We created a French atmosphere in the ballroom and wanted our guests feel the difference the moment they entered.
Bride and Groom made an entrance with a violinist playing their favourite song dressed in that era’s costume. Their first dance was a waltz, and they sure looked like royalty.
A theater stage inspired from the Versailles Palace was designed and that’s where the ceremony took place. Feathers, candles, crystals, ribbons and silk was used while decorating. Masks were placed at each setting for guests to use.
Later famous singer Bengu and DJ Suat Atesdagli took place on that stage, and the wedding lasted until early hours of the morning.
Love is in the Air
Just like John Paul Young' s lovely thoughts, we threw an amazing wedding on a March night @Four Seasons Hotel- İstanbul..The decoration was spectacular and dazzling.. The bride and the groom were glowing as well as their guests..
Everything came out of BG's talented and highly qualified team members' hands..Every single detail was taken care of with great elaboration ; the glass tables, plexi boxes with flowers inside, initials on the dance floor, ornaments on the dining tables, bar stand ornaments, candles attached mirrors and high vases carrying spring blossoms within..
What a night to remember..Thank you for letting us create your dreams and wish you guys the best..Cheers for you Burak&Melis..
Pink is Good
Pink is always a good idea..When the bride asks for a colorful celebration it's a''yayy'' factor for us..We looove colors and modernism and non-fancy themes as much as we love the opposite ;)
Çubuklu 29 is one of the most favorite venues in İstanbul..The location is beautiful, lighting is spectacular, the energy rises high..It's so much fun to decorate 29..
We choose to be very modern and simple yet full of good vibes..Some blues some whites and pink..What a glorious celebration it was on this June night..
Thank you for making us a part of your new beginnings..Cheers to love Serra&Tolga
Love of Simplicity
Modernism gathered with white floors, sand sofas, dimlight candles, high ceilings and a a blue sea&sky pleasure on a nice April evening...
Çubuklu 29 welcomed Ömer&Gülce's wedding ceremony and party with the leading of BG. We had quiet a fun helping another dream come true..
Not all the weddings are fancy but sometimes more natural and cool and modern...This was one of those natural ones yet still fancy in it's own nature..
We hope you have a lifetime of happiness.. :)
A Spectacular Event at Yerebatan Cistern
Yerebakan Cistern is located at the southwest of the Hagia Sofia – the European side of Istanbul and was used as a location for the James Bond Movie in 1963. This magnificent ambience has been hosting national and international events for years.
Here are the pictures of the event that we organized last week. We enriched the cistern with our professional team, using spectacular decoration, elegant details and charming orchids and roses . It’s magical isn’t it?
